Review – BeautyUK Baked Blush in Halo

Review – BeautyUK Baked Blush in Halo

I always seem to be on the hunt
for a new blush. I adore Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, but I can no longer justify splashing out on high end make up products, well not until baby is out and my maternity leave is over.

I was given the opportunity to try two blushes from BeautyUK.

BeautyUK is not a brand I had
heard a great deal about. I had seen it before in my local Superdrug, but hadn’t
tried any products.

The blush is available in three different shades – pink,
rouge, halo and goddess.

The shade I have tried is Halo.

The blush comes in a reasonably
sturdy cardboard flip lid box, with a mirror on the inside of the lid which snaps shut with a magnet. The blush
looks safe in its little box, meaning less chance of broken blusher caked all
over your make up bag. Each box contains 4.4g of blush, not bad at all
considering it only costs £3.99!

Halo is a
pale peachy pink, with darker gold veins running through it.

Although the blush is a powder, it
gives the illusion of a cream when on. I found it had quite a matt effect on my
skin, in an extremely pretty colour.

Although
Halo is described as a blush, the shimmer and shade of the colour make it more
suitable as a highlighter. It gives a
pretty, dewy glow over the top of my foundation, making me look a lot healthier
than I feel!

I am massively impressed by the
quality. The pigmentation is great and a little goes a long way. It looks great
on my skin, and it lasts throughout the day without any streaking or fading. It
can be used on your cheeks, eyes or even your nose for a bit of contouring! I
love it.

I’ll will definitely try the other shades that are available, though to be honest. I think this is my new favourite cheek colour!
