Review – Klorane shampoo with nettle

Review – Klorane shampoo with nettle
Oily hair is something I have only recently had to endure. It seems it’s another lovely side effect of pregnancy.

I was given the opportunity to review some fabulous products from the lovely people at Escentual, one of them being Klorane Nettle shampoo which is formulated for oily hair. I had previously seen Klorane feature in one of my Birchboxes, so although I didn’t know much about the brand I had heard of it.

It’s currently on offer on the Escentual website for £5.10 for a 200ml bottle which I don’t think is a bad price.

Klorane shampoo is a deep cleansing formula aimed at those of us unlucky enough to have oily locks. The shampoo is hypoallergenic and extremely mild, and after continued use it helps regulate oil secretion, which hopefully means you don’t have to wash your hair as much

The shampoo is bright green in colour and had quite a watery consistency. A little goes a long way on your hair, I find I only really need a pound coin sized amount to be able to work up a good lather on my hair.

The shampoo has a light, fresh herbal scent and smells really natural, I’m not sure whether I associate the scent with nettle but regardless it smells really good! It’s nice to find that the scent is not too over powering but lasts well on your hair throughout the day.

I’ve been using this for just over a week now and my hair feels soft and manageable but I will admit I am using my normal Dove conditioner in conjunction with it. I’ve been washing my hair every other day rather than daily while using this and I’m pretty impressed. It’s working for me, I’m not sure whether my hair will stay oily once the little man is out, but if it does I’ll keep using this after the birth.

*I was sent the product free or charge to review on my blog*

I could tell you some stories about nettle and when I was a kid… Nettle is so very healthy. I have never tried it in shampoo, but I bet it makes your hair very healthy.

As someone with greasy hair and has to wash it every day or I look like a drip lol this sounds like something I should try out. Washing your hair every single day can be annoying! Especially when it is really only the scalp for me that is greasy, thus, drying the rest of my hair out. Do they do a conditioner as well?

Looks great and I'm glad to hear it's working for you. I had to completely change my hair care regime during pregnancy – hormones are funny things!
