Prints On aluminium print review

Prints On aluminium print review

You should have a realised by now that I love photographs, particularly ones of my little man. I love being able to capture our memories and all of his ‘firsts’ and print them off to display in the house.

I was recently given the opportunity to review a print from Prints On, a Cardiff based company who offer a unique alternative to traditional framed photographs by printing images onto acrylic, brushed aluminium and Porthmadoc slate. I was intrigued by the unusual alternatives to canvas or your bog standard photo print, though didn’t really know what to expect.

I had no preference to the material so I asked for Prints On’s recommendation once I’d chosen which picture to use. We’d had a mini photoshoot done quite recently and surprisingly I liked one of the pictures with me in it, so I decided to have that one printed.

After looking at the picture I sent over, Prints On recommended a brushed aluminium print* due to it’s smooth surfaces and the colours in the picture.

The print we were sent is 450mm x 350mm in size and looks fantastic. I’m so impressed with the quality and the look of the print. The picture is clear and the effect from the brushed aluminium looks so different to anything I’ve ever seen before.

You can see the grain from the metal through the picture which I really like and the colours look great on my pale grey dining room wall.

The print is easy to hang and very lightweight, so there’s no chance of it causing any damage to your walls.

I think the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the prints. The prices start at £20 for a small desk top sized print up to £80 for a large wall mounted print. The size we were sent costs £70 which I think is a great price for such a statement piece of wall art.

I’m thoroughly impressed with Prints On, from the super quick delivery to the beautifully produced print, I couldn’t have asked for anything else.
I’m thinking about our next print already. I think one of the slate prints would look great in our kitchen. I’m complete taken by the uniqueness of printing some of our family pictures onto different materials.
