House of Fraser Denim Blogger Challenge

It’s that time of the year when the festivities are beginning, what can start out as a Christmas present expedition can end up in an impromptu cocktail session, so I decide to create a day to night outfit for the House of Fraser blogger challenge.

There’s no escaping denim at the moment, it’s everywhere you look. if you want your denim to last more than one season, choose wisely, and choose a style that is not only timeless but versatile.

I chose these stunning Armani Jeans because they’re flattering and and unusual coloured denim. It’s the perfect time of the year for denim. These jeans can be dressed up for a fab night out, or down for a hopping trip round town.

They go really well with the Jane Norman bandage top which is very fitted and sexy, without revealing too much flesh. It’s a figure hugging top that embellishes your figure.

I truly adore the Michael Kors brown bag. It’s a timeless classic that could be used for every season, and it’s the perfect size for someone who NEEDS to take everything when they leave the house. I have dreamt of this bag!

The Steve Madden shoes match the bag perfectly, whilst they may not be the warmest for your toes in this chilly weather they look amazing.

I chose the Linea hat because it’d keep my ears warm and could easily be stashed in my huge Michael Kors handbag.

I would add a little bling to my outfit with this stunning statement Martine Wester necklace. It is completely eye catching and would dress up every the most casual of outfits.

To top off this fabulous selection of clothes I would choose this Coast Penelope coat. I think it looks snuggly and warm and would look amaing with skinny jeans or your little black dress. I have added this coat this coat to my Christmas list, fingers crossed my hubby pays attention!

M&Co blogger challenge

I was contacted and asked to enter the M&Co blogger challenge. The challenge was to choose a dress from their website and style it with accessories from the website and explain where it would be worn.

I chose this gorgeous festive red dress which is elegant and stylish and would look amazing for any Christmas event. Obviously with a figure hugging dress I would need some good shapewear to pull in all my lumps and bumps.

As the weather is getting cold (it’s only a matter of time until there’s snow on the ground) I would have to wear something over the top, and a stylish poncho would be the perfect choice, not only preventing goosebumps but looking glamourous at the same time.  I’d finish the outfit off with some killer heels and bling jewellery.

Balloon Baboon

I often run out of
ideas for presents, usually opting for vouchers or some smellies, but
I know that can be boring. I love finding something different,
something that will make the recipient smile or have a little

Balloon Baboon is one of those companies. They make handmade balloon sculptures which are delivered right to your door.

I was sent a fabulous
package from the company which was
a pregnant lady balloon. It is amazing.

It’s an absolutely perfect gift for a mother to be
and would look great as a centre piece at a baby shower.

A super light weight box arrived via Royal Mail. From the outside you’d never guess what was in the box.
I could see a green balloon poking out of the pink tissue paper.
Inside was a super cool pregnant lady made from balloons complete with big bump! Also included was a small pink babboon! The sculpture is well made and looks fab. It’s about 20 inches tall and stands up well without toppling over as it’s filled with liquid, presumably water.
Balloon Baboon have a
wide range of balloon items, including animals, childrens characters
and festive items. They pretty much cover every eventuality.
Their price ranges are
really good too, the sculpture that I was sent costs £16.95 plus
£3.95 delivery. This works out much less than a decent bunch of
flowers, and looks much more unique and thoughtful.

I really like the package I got. I will definitely use Balloon Baboon in the future.
Check them out on Twitter and Facebook

Balloon Baboon would like to offer one of my lucky readers a fab prize. Fill in the rafflecopter widget below to be entered. The details WILL be checked so make sure you complete them all.

So … this is one of my two work bags. I take two with me each day. One containing all of my work related items, my headset, procedures documents and other dull and uninteresting things, that you’ll be glad you didn’t get pictures of ( I work in a Police control room).
The second bag I take to work is this one, my personal bag, which contains lots of bits and pieces that I seem to think are essential.
Too be honest my bag is looking petty tidy, I do keep my work one reasonably organised, but even for me it’s looking good, that’s not a common occurance though, I actually swapped bags quite recently, throwing away all my old receipts, bits of soggy chewing gum and one million kirby hair grips.
I’m known amongst my friends for always having the biggest handbag in the world, I envy those girls that can go out with a tiny clutch bag, but it’s just not me. I like to take EVERYTHING that I might possibly need, of course I might need 5 different types of paracetamol, 11 lip glosses and a sewing kit, who knows what can happen at a night at the pub!

My bag on this very organised occasion consists of –

Black faux leather bag – £12 from Primark (River Island copy that looks identical).

My current read – £1.50 purchased from my local charity shop

Jimmy Choo Flash perfume – £35

Molton Brown body lotion – £6

Real Techniques Stippling brush – £11.99

Oriflame lipgloss – £8

Revlon Lip butter – £6

Decanted mini of my Estee Lauder foundation – £27 (for the full bottle that lives at home)

Lancome Juicy Tubes mini – £5

Vaseline – £1

Tweezers – £1.99

Extra Chewing gum – 45p

Mini mirror – a freebie with some face wipes

Lion Bar – 55p (I never know when the need for chocolate may hit!

Beechams Cold and Flu – £3

Rennies – £2

French Connection glasses – £180

Spare pair pants – £5 (again, who knows when a 28 year old adult female may have an accident!

Facial wipes – £2 (perfect for any spillages, bad make up or dinner medals

Iphone 4S – £420

Purse – £20 – it’s got about £17 cash, some gift vouchers from our wedding and 37 thousand receipts and extremely important scrumpled up bits of paper.

I’m quite surprised by how expensive the bits in my bag are worth, especially considering this is my work bag and not my going or going shopping bag, which probably contain 5 times as much make up as this one.
