I am a massive fan of Roger & Gallet products. I absolutely adore the Fleur de Figuier range and have written about it previously. I knew that there were other ranges and many other products but until I looked on the website earlier I hadn’t realised how vast it had become!

Wow, so many choices.

I was recently sent two of their more recently products to try out. The Fleur d’Osmanthus and Rose hand and nail creams. Both tubes are 30ml and are perfect handbag or change bag size and can be bought for £6.

They’re both really light weight cream and absorb into your skin in an instant. Since starting to use baby wipes with the Little Man, my hands and nails have become really dry and rough. I’ve tried numerous creams and although some do work they tend to leave a sticky residue on my hands. Thankfully neither of these creams do which means I can slather on as much as I like without feeling like I need to wash my hands.

The scent of both creams is delicious! The Fleur d’Osmanthus contains Apricot kernel oil, blended with shea butter and is perfect for dry skin. The fragrance is light and floral yet has a fruity smell that reminds me of some kind of sweet from my childhood. It’s definitely an uplifting smell and puts a little smile on my face every time I apply it.

The Rose hand cream smells well, like roses, but it has a soft, relaxing scent without smelling like old ladies! It’s made rosebuds, peony and almond milk, making it a much romantic floral scent instead of your usual in your face rose smell.

In both of the ranges you can pick up various other products including foaming shower honey, body lotion and perfume dry oil.

I’ve been alternating these creams as I can’t decide which I prefer. They both have pretty much the same moisturising effect but two completely different yet utterly gorgeous smells. I’m going to purchase some other bits from the Fleur d’Osmanthus range, particularly the perfume. I think I need it in my life.

Oily hair is something I have only recently had to endure. It seems it’s another lovely side effect of pregnancy.

I was given the opportunity to review some fabulous products from the lovely people at Escentual, one of them being Klorane Nettle shampoo which is formulated for oily hair. I had previously seen Klorane feature in one of my Birchboxes, so although I didn’t know much about the brand I had heard of it.

It’s currently on offer on the Escentual website for £5.10 for a 200ml bottle which I don’t think is a bad price.

Klorane shampoo is a deep cleansing formula aimed at those of us unlucky enough to have oily locks. The shampoo is hypoallergenic and extremely mild, and after continued use it helps regulate oil secretion, which hopefully means you don’t have to wash your hair as much

The shampoo is bright green in colour and had quite a watery consistency. A little goes a long way on your hair, I find I only really need a pound coin sized amount to be able to work up a good lather on my hair.

The shampoo has a light, fresh herbal scent and smells really natural, I’m not sure whether I associate the scent with nettle but regardless it smells really good! It’s nice to find that the scent is not too over powering but lasts well on your hair throughout the day.

I’ve been using this for just over a week now and my hair feels soft and manageable but I will admit I am using my normal Dove conditioner in conjunction with it. I’ve been washing my hair every other day rather than daily while using this and I’m pretty impressed. It’s working for me, I’m not sure whether my hair will stay oily once the little man is out, but if it does I’ll keep using this after the birth.

My skin
has taken a complete battering this winter. The cold weather combined with
pregnancy hormones = a rather unpleasant sight. When I was offered the chance to
try Green People organic skin detox set I jumped at the chance, having already tried their Sugar Scrub I knew I was likely to be in for a treat.

One of the reasons I like Green People is because their products are made without SLS, parabens, and other nasty ingredients, so they’re perfect for those of us who like a treat, but worry about what we’re putting on or in our bodies. They also give 10% of their net profit to charity!

The box is a pretty floral affair. It has a vintage feel to it, I adore brown paper/card, and love the effect it has. It’s made from thick brown card and would make a lovely gift for any female, regardless of age.

The set costs £12.95 and can be purchased directly from Green People website and aims to uplift and revive.

It contains –

Vitamin Shower Gel – 100ml and a green eco shower pouf.

The shower gel is suitable for all skin types. After opening the gift set I was a little surprised by how small the shower gel looked, but after a couple of uses, I’ve realised that a little goes a very long way. The shower get is quite watery, so you only need to use it sparingly for an all over lather. I’ve used it about 5 times now, and the tube still feels full.

The shower gel has a clean fresh scent, which isn’t overly strong. It is faintly citrusy and makes me think of a spa treatment room. It creates a nice soft lather when you use it in conjunction with the eco green shower pouf. The only downside I can find is the scent fades from your skin quite quickly. I wish it was a little strong, so it lasted on my skin during the day. I always feel it makes me feel a little cleaner and fresher when I can still smell the scent of the shower.

The eco green shower pouf is fabulous. I really like it. Surprisingly it’s made from 100% recycled plastic. It’s exfoliating without being too rough or harsh on your skin. I’ve been concentrating on bits like elbows and knees when I’ve been showering and they feel much softer, it’s also easily shifted the dry skin build up on my legs that’s been accumulating through the winter.

Overall I really like the kit. My favourite item without a doubt being the shower pouf. It feels luxurious to use and leaves me skin feeling soft and smooth without any soreness. The shower gel is a great treat for your shower, particularly on dark cold mornings and the pouf will be ideal to prepare your legs for the summer months.

Another great selection from the lovely Green People.

Escada Cherry in the Air is a
limited time perfume that was released in Spring/Summer 2013. I’ve been meaning
to pick it up for a while, but luckily my hubby had a look through the
Christmas wish list I posted on my blog this year (I MUST remember to do this
next year) and bought it for me.

Cherry in the Air scent is gorgeous, light, refreshing, and really girly. It contains notes of juicy red fruits and mellow, creamy notes of marshmallow accord. The obvious scents are of black cherries and raspberries with a warm faint vanilla hint. It is truly delicious and most definitely smells like something you’d want to eat.

I am a fan of Escada fragrances as I find them quite cheap in comparison to some of my other favourites, such as Alien and they remind me of being young. Their scents are usually fruity and lively and a perfect choice for the summer months.

Cherry in the Air looks aesthetically pleasing too. The bottle is simple and girly and looks great on my dressing table, the only gripe I really have is the pointless ribbon ring that comes around the neck of the bottle. Maybe I’m just a little too old at 29 to really ‘get’ the marketing ploy. Maybe if you’re a teenager you’d like the ring and be more likely to wear it, but for me it was a pointless item which was thrown in the bin.

Although its only available for a limited time if can still be picked up from The Fragrance Shop for £24.50 for the 30ml bottle. It is also available in 50ml and 100m bottles. Hubby bought me the 50ml from The Fragrance Shop in our local town.

I would recommend Cherry in the Air to any younger female, or any female who likes light, fruity scents.

I received this fabulous pre wrapped gift set from my hubby
for Christmas, I actually opened it on Christmas Eve. It’s pretty obvious from
the outside packaging where it’s from. I adore the vintage style packaging and the brown paper. I would wrap all presents in brown paper if I could.
If you remember I quite recently went to the Lush Spa in London for a spa treatment. I had the Spell treatment, which I adored. I was surprised to see that the gift set contains some of the products used for the treatment that I had.
The gift set contains –
Stepping Stone foot scrub – 60g
Full of Grace facial serum – 20g

Big Blue bath ballistic

Peace Massage Bar – 50g

The gift set costs £24.95 and can be bought in some stores or online. I think it would make a fab gift for a secret santa too as it look so pretty.

Now I’m just waiting for my hubby to give me a foot massage ….
