Clothing sent in return for an honest review
It’s that weird type of the year when the weather isn’t quite ‘Winter-like or ‘Spring-like’. One minute you’re freezing cold and your teeth are chattering, the next you’re peeling off the layers and hunting for a sun hat.
Belfast, based clothing company, Lighthouse recently sent my youngest some of their practical and super cute waterproof kids clothing to keep him warm and toasty. I decided to choose something for all weather eventualities, things that would see him out for the year ahead.
Lighthouse clothing combines beautiful prints and colours with practical, waterproof and warm material that help you explore the outdoors.
The Jack hoody is such lovely quality. I picked the Green tractor slurry design but it’s also available in three other designs – red tractor slurry, blue tractor slurry and orange digger.
My youngest loves the bright tractor and slurry truck design on the front and I love how well it washes and how it keeps him warm without any fuss.
Lighthouse sell a great range of kids hats, including this navy and red Bobbie bobble hat. It’s made from acrylic and is lovely and thick with plenty of stretch.
It’s available in 11 different designs and colourways and ages 2-4 years and 5-10 years. It’s great for keeping little ears warm on chillier days.
I think found the perfect Spring coat at Lighthouse. The Lucas coat is amazing. It’s available to buy in three different prints – blue farm print, plain pillarbox red and this cute emergency service transport print.
It’s waterproof and windproof with a soft fleece lining but still fully breathable. It’s lovely and warm but isn’t too restrictive or thick which makes it ideal for nursery or playing outdoors.
It comes with a cosy hood and a nice chunky puller on the zip which helps smaller hands pull up their own zip more easily.
I like that it’s slightly longer at the back, making sure my youngest is nice and warm and no cold drafts can get in.
Perfect for the really cold days, the Jamie Puddlesuit is so snuggly and warm. I love the bright blue print of the Lucas coat so it made sense to choose the same print for the Jamie Puddlesuit. The brightly coloured emergency services vehicles are very eye catching and we always get asked where it’s from when my youngest wears it.
The puddlesuit is waterproof and lined with a cosy fleece. It’s breathable but still very warm. I wish we’d had this in all of the colder months because it’s absolutely brilliant. I’m definitely going to buy the next size up for next Winter.
It’s easy to get on and off, with a zip down front. The legs are quite a narrow fit which is perfect for my youngest who is very slim but it might be worth sizing up if you have a chunkier child.
Lighthouse Clothing offer a great range of clothing for men, women and children. They are based in Ireland, offering free postage and a 30 day return period.
I’m really impressed with the quality of the things we were sent. They’ve all been worn and washed a number of times and still look brand new.
