It was Random Acts of Kindness Day on Friday 17th February and Contact Numbers UK gave me the opportunity to surprise a special someone with a Random Act of Kindness in their #KindnessDayChallenge. I was able to choose a gift from Amazon (using Amazon Prime’s next day delivery service) to send to someone who I think deserved a little treat and a little bit of extra kindness adding to their day.
The Amazon Prime tagline is “Millions of ways to save the day, delivered in one day”. It can literally be a life saver. I’ve used it so many times for last minute gifts and household items and it’s never let me down.
The person I chose to surprise was my Mam. She’s a complete star and does so much for us, which we sometimes take for granted. She’s my free child minder/cleaner/laundry service and ‘Bailer–Outer’ as well as being a long term suffered of very severe Crohn’s disease. Money is tight so it’s not often that I can splash cash and treat her to the things she deserves so the #KindnessDayChallenge seemed the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation.
The Amazon delivery arrived while I was at work and she was looking after the little man at my house. She was very impressed with a bottle of her favourite perfume turning up at the door. It was lovely to be able to treat her with the help of Contact Numbers UK and remind her how grateful we are for all the help and support she gives us.
You don’t have to spend money to spread a little kindness though. Giving someone a compliment can make their day or holding the door can bring a smile to someones face.
Have you done anything to spread a little kindness recently?

Would love to sponsor morebut limited funds at the moment. I think education will set up this boys life. I live receiving letters from him and see how he is progressing. It brings a smile to my face.
