Christmas Gifts for Grown Ups 2023

Some of the items featured were sent free of charge for inclusion

I’ve put together a range of gift idea for grown ups this year. They’re not gender specific so may be suitable for any grown up you need to buy a gift for.

A gift set always makes a great stocking filler, this one from Nivea is great if you’re on a budget and comes with two useful products, shower gel and deodorant.

Opies are one of my favourite treats for over the festive period. They are always feel like such a luxury. They’re multi functional and can be used in dessert recipes, cocktails or even straight from the jar. The Forest Fruits with Mulled gin adds a unique flavour to things like meringues, roulades or cocktails. I’d added it to plain gin and tonic and it gives such sweet, flavourful kick.

The Black Cherries steeped in syrup infused with Luxardo® Kirsch is the perfect addition to homemade Black Forest Gateau whereas the Peaches with Luxardo® 12 Year Aged Brandyadds a kick to Peach Melba. I think my favourite is the baby Pears with Luxardo® Amaretto. They taste amazing and would make a great addition to a Tarte Tartin, well the would have if I hadn’t eaten them all. Opies products are available from most supermarkets for £7.50 a jar or online.

Gift vouchers make great gifts for those who are difficult to buy for, particularly online ones like Prezzee. Prezzee vouchers can be used at more than 190 retailers and hospitality outlets which means the recipient can choose how they’d like to spend it themselves.

There are so many different options for the vouchers, they can be used at places like ASOS, John Lewis, Argos and even on an XBox Game Pass. They’re an ideal gift for those that don’t live close or perhaps we won’t see over the festive period. Choosing where you’d like to spend it is easy, but it can’t be changed once you’ve picked.

Everyone needs and air fryer in their life. It is my favourite kitchen appliance and probably the most used thing in my kitchen. The Vortx 7.6L air fryer has dual baskets so you can cook two different things at the same time. It has 6 easy to use preset functions : – air fry, roast, bake, dehydrate, defrost and reheat as well as dual basket technology and Smart Finish which means your food cooks at the same time.

Air Fryers can save money on your energy bills too which I’m sure your recipient will be pleased about. It can cook  things around 30% quicker than a conventional oven, which in turn will save on your energy bills.

Tower Housewares has some great Black Friday Offers on between 13th Nov – 27th Nov which includes this air fryer.

I love giving personalised gifts at Christmas and Max Spielmann have a beautiful range this year. Some of the gifts can even be ordered and collected within the hour, perfect for those of us who tend to leave things to the very last minute. From cushions to photo blocks, there’s something for every budget. I have so many photos of the kids dotted around the house so this kind of kind is perfect for me.

This Florena duo would make a lovely gift for a skincare fan. The Milky Cleanser is extremely gentle and perfect for sensitive skin. It’s enriched with fermented Jasmin and fermented Angelica Oil  remover without leaving a greasy residue it also contains hydrating Coconut Oil so your skin will feel soft a supple after using. The cleansing tonic contains the same ingredients and like the cleanser is certified COSMOS Natural by The Soil Association.

Perfume can be a difficult gift to choose but there are some amazing scents available. Moschino I Love Love has been around for years. It’s a light, freshing scent that makes me think of summer days and sunshine. It’s not the most long lasting scent but it brings back happy memories of my youth and makes a great handbag staple. Jennifer Lopez One was launched in 2021 and I always think it should be more popular than it is. It has a woody scent with notes of Pink Pepper, Freesia and Peach Blossom. It makes me think of hot, exotic nights on holiday.

If you’re buying for a skincare fanatic, look no further than Forever Living. Their Smoothing Exfoliator makes a lovely gift for those that are concerned about their skin. The exfoliator contains round jojoba beads which massage the skin while naturally sourced bamboo removes dead skin cells. It also has bromelain, papain and lemon essential oil to help regenerate the skin. The exfoliator felt gentle on my skin and even after first use, my skin felt smooth refreshed.

I think candles make great gifts and Yankee Candles are one of my favourite brands. The medium jars have a burning time of up to 75 hours and the Cupcake Party scent is amazing. It’s super sweet and smells great as it drifts through the house.

Slane Irish Whiskey comes in an elegant bottle and would make a reasonably priced gift for any Whiskey lover. It’s a blended Irish Whiskey that is made at Slane Castle – hence the name. It has a sweet, smooth taste with notes of butterscotch, vanilla and dried fruits.

I absolutely love 212 by Caroline Herrera. It is an absolute classic and one of my favourite mens fragrances. It lasts so well on the skin, though I do find it very difficult to describe the scent but it has notes of Bergamot and violet and something that never seems to grow old.

I’m a huge fan of Altruist products and their cruelty free Christmas Giftbox is a great starter set for anyone new to the brand or a teenager who is just starting to take an interest in a skincare regime.  The set comes in a fully recyclable cardboard gift box and contains 4 products from their range – Primer SPF 50 30ml, Moisturings Body Lotion 200ml, SPF 30 Face Fluid 50ml and Moisturising Fluid 50ml.

I’ve been using all of the products since they arrived and have been very impressed, particularly with the Moisturising Fluid which contains 0.5% Hyaluronic acid. It’s also infused with glycerin, urea and shea butter which leaves the skin feeling, smoothing, hydrated and moisturised. It’s a lightweight moisturiser that makes a great base for make up and can be used during the day and on a night.

Moisturising Fluid 0.5% Hyaluronic acid. Infused with glycerin, urea, and shea butter to boost the skin’s inherent moisturizing elements, this lightweight formula serves as an ideal facial moisturizer suitable for both day and night use.

The brand was developed by consultant dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon, Dr Andrew Birnie and I love how reasonably priced the range is.

The Brewdog mixed pack would make a lovely festive treat for someone. It can be picked up in most supermarkets and contains 8 cans of Brewdog ( 2 of each flavour). It would make a fab Secret Santa gift too.

SOS Balm is amazing! It would make a brilliant stocking filler gift, especially for someone who suffers from dry skin. It’s a vegan, organic and all-natural balm that is suitable for those with eczema or sensitive skin. It comes in two versions, scented or none scented and has become multi use product for us all. It can be used on dry skin, eczema, psoriasis flares, bumps, bruises, minor cuts and burns. The scented version, with pure Lavender and Neroli essential oils, is suitable from 6 months. It’s a fab product for many minor skin complaints and I think it’d be difficult to find someone who wasn’t impressed with it.

Cafepod coffee pods are compatible with Nespresso machines and they have 14 different options available. It would make a great addition to a homemade hamper or for any coffee lover.

I love Flipz all year round but this festive Gingerbread ones are delicious. They make a great stocking filler or gift for any gingerbread fan.

I hope some of the products above inspire you for gift ideas this year. Good luck!
