Time to read, healthy food (kinda) and freezing cold February #LittleLoves

I love reading other bloggers linky posts but never seem to have time to get involved myself. I’m going to try to make a conscious effort to take part more and hopefully come across some new blogs to read in the process.

Read

I managed to read four books during our cruise and throughly enjoyed snuggling up and being absorbed. It’s rare I have a lot of time to read so it made a lovely change. My favourite out of the four I read was Just a Girl, Standing in Front of a Boy by Lucy-Anne Holmes. It was easy reading, full of laughs and tears and I couldn’t put it down. I’d never read anything by Lucy-Anne Holmes prior to this one, but I’ve ordered two of her other books from Amazon. I’ve also tried to start reading Room by Emma Donoghue twice so far. I was really excited when I won it on Donna’s blog but I just can’t get into it. I’m determined to give it another go before I watch the film.

Watched

I’d love some suggestions for a new TV series to watch. I’ve been pottering along watching The Mentalist and catching up on some episodes of Grey’s Anatomy but I need something new and gripping. I still feel a little sad that I’ve watched all of Sons of Anarchy and House.

Heard

I’ve been listening to Sam Smith’ album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ on repeat in the car. I’m a little bit obsessed with ‘I’m not the only one’. 

Wore

Lots of layers!

I can’t believe how cold it is in the North at the moment. I’ve been wearing lots of jumpers, cosy coats and I daren’t leave the house without a pair of gloves. I wish I could just stay cocooned in my duvet until Summer arrives. 

Made

I’ve made a cooked meal pretty much every night recently. It’s been nice being off work and being able to have time to chop and cook things. 

And lastly …

I’ve been window and front door shopping this week. We’re in desperate need of a new front door before the current one falls off. We got a quote last week and it was quite a bit cheaper than we’d expected so we’re going to get new windows through about 3/4 of the house. Door shopping is surprisingly fun!
