*The necklace was sent in return for an honest review**
With Valentines Day quickly approaching, I’d like to bring Jana Reinhardt to your attention. They offer a range of beautiful, sustainable products that would make the perfect gift for your significant other.
Jana Reinhardt is a husband and wife duo, Jana and Ross who together, have over 50 years of experience in making jewellery. They’re both qualified goldsmiths and sustainability and respect for the world’s natural resources are incredibly important to them, as they continuously strive to make their business greener.
All Jana Reinhardt jewellery is designed by Jana and handcrafted in Worthing, Sussex from recycled gold and silver. Most products are available in a range of different metals (solid silver, platinum, 18ct and 9ct gold) which will suit individual tastes and budgets. They don’t offer gold plated jewellery as they believe the process can be detrimental to both health and the environment.
A lot of their products are animal themed and they have a number of Collections with names like, Fabulous Fish, Woodland Babies and Butterflies. There are also some more obscure collections like Curvy Yoga Ladies and Memento which amongst others, features a really cool dinosaur pendant and chain,
I was recently sent their Hummingbird necklace and it is honestly such a pretty piece of jewellery.
The Hummingbird necklace comes in recyclable packaging which still looks very elegant.
It’s made from recycled sterling silver using sustainable practices and sits on a fine, adjustable ( 16″-18″) silver cube chain. The necklace is from their ‘bird’ collection and is beautifully textured and detailed.
The necklace chain has a lobster clasp and a single loop to fasten it with. There is a tag inscribed with the Jana Reinhardt logo which hangs down the back.
I love the Hummingbird necklace. the pendant is quite large and sits nicely when worn and although the chain is thin, it seems robust enough not to snap if I get my hair tangled in it.
The sterling silver version of the necklace which is pictured in this post costs £95 without engraving ( there is an additional charge for engraving) It’s also available in yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and platinum, each with it’s own price.
As well as making beautiful pieces, they give money to a range of ethical charities such as Galgos Del Sol, Keep The Ban, OVAID and Friends of The Earth. They also have also worked in partnership with NAWT and PETA.
I love the gorgeous necklace I was sent and I’m really impressed with the quality and ethical nature of the company and would definitely purchase something else from the range.
