Christmas 2013

I’ve seen this on a few bloggers pages and thought I should share a little more about me.  I know it’s still November, but … it is getting closer to Christmas. It’ll be out last Christmas as a twosome – baby won’t be long!

Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?

I prefer a real one, I love the smell and the fact it looks so much more authentic, but practicality usually overrules and we use our fake one. There’s nothing worse than the needles shedding all over the floor, and having to hoover every five minutes. Our fake tree was a complete bargain, I bought it from Homebase about two years ago in January, and it cost £17 instead of £170!

You’re in a coffee shop, it’s December, what do you pick?

I love Starbucks at Christmas, it tends to be the only coffee shop I go to. They’ve previously done a peppermint mocha, but I haven’t seen it this year. I’m not really a massive coffee fan at the moment, opting for the Frappachino’s.

Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?

Our decorations are all red, gold and green, with the few odd random bits thrown in.

Giving or receiving?

I love buying for others as long as the gifts are appriciated, but it’s still really nice to open presents too!

To mince pie or not to?

Nope, not unless its mince and onion!

What’s your traditional sunday lunch?

Turkey, pork, sage and onion, stuffing, brussel sprouts, turnip, roasties, mash, parsnips, pigs in blankets, yorkshire puddings, swimming in gravy! I’m drooling writing this. I rarely have any dessert as I’m too stuffed from my dinner.

Christmas day fashion

I tend to get new Pj’s for Christmas Eve and a new outfit for Christmas day, usually some form of festive jumper and skirt. I’ll have to find something I can squeeze my bump into this year.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?

Michael Buble’s Christmas album is a firm favourite, I’ve already had a sneaky listen on the ipod!

What’s your favourite Christmas film?

Any of the oldies really. I love A Christmas Carol or Miracle on 34th Street, and it’s not Christmas without Home Alone!

Open presents before or after lunch?

Usually as soon as we get up, with a bacon sandwich and a cuppa.

I can’t believe how quick 2013 has gone for me. It’s hard to believe we got married 6 months ago and are now waiting for our baby to arrive. It’s also a scary thought – but I’m 30 next year!!
