2013 has been a crazy year for my husband and I. It’s been
busy, expensive and it feels like it’s flown over.
I thought I’d share some of the key things that happened to
us, with some pictures.
One of our lovely dogs, Carson sadly had to be put to sleep.
She was suffering from cancer. She’s still missed very much.
We spent 14 nights in Cyprus. During which time we got married! It was a lovely time and we got to share it with a large group of close friends and family. I wouldn’t change a thing and would wholeheartedly recommend a wedding abroad.
We got married up the Troodos Mountains. The scenery was stunning and we both had an amazing day.
When we got back from Cyprus we managed to spend a few sunny days in The Lake District, prior to going back to work. It was nice to have some ‘us’ time.
During this time we also got a surprise … more on that further down.
We managed a few days out, making the most of the summer, we love looking round old castles and Chillingham Castle is amazing.
We also got our final trip away together to London. We stayed overnight in the Natural History Museum and visited various places. We’re both massive London fans. It will also be the last trip we have away together for a while, as our first baby is due in February.
After the initial terror/shock we are looking forward to welcoming our first baby into the world in about 6 weeks times. He is a honeymoon baby!
Although he wasn’t planned, we are both very excited to meet him. I’ve had a pretty traumatic pregnancy, so I’m looking forward to feeling better and getting to meet our son. I also cannot wait to start exercising again! I’m suffering from severe SPD and back problems which means even just walking has been traumatic.
We had a reasonably quite Christmas, and I imagine New Year will be quite similar. I am trying to take it easy, and get everything prepared for our arrival.
I hope next year is a little less eventful, and we can have some time to start our own little family. I also hope to have a little more time to get organised with my blog and write more regularly.
I would like to wish my readers and followers all the best for 2014 and I hope it’s a great year!
