Since becoming pregnant my boobs have dramatically increased in size. I’ve gone from a modest 36C to straining the seams of a 38FF! I have resorted to wearing stretchy crop top type bra’s purely for finance reasons,I simple haven’t been able to afford £30 for a new maternity bra every few weeks and it’s been a struggle to get anything comfortable to wear as my boobs have continued to rapidly expand.
I was given the opportunity to try a Cantaloop pregnancy/nursing tank top, which is a seamless tank top with an integrated nursing bra.
The tank top is available in both black and white and the sizes range from small to extra large. I decided to go for the extra large seeing as I am over 37 weeks pregnant, and my boobs seem to keep expanding daily!
Although my boobs feel extremely heavy, they do still feel supported by the tank top. The tank top is made from soft and stretchy material (91% Polymide and 9% Elastane) and doesn’t loose it’s shape when worn or washed. It can be thrown in with your usual 40 degree white wash and comes out looking good as new, so no faff on with hand washing.
For use when nursing, the Cantaloop tank top has drop cups to gain access to your breasts. I will admit this was the only bit of the tank top that I wasn’t massive keen on. I found the clasps a little fiddly too release and there are no ‘boob holes’ in the inside layer for breastfeeding. I think it could be a little difficult to manoeuvre if you have a baby to hold as well, but we shall see how it works in about 2 weeks time!
The nursing bra’s that I’ve bought all have the drop away cups with a hole to allow easy access for baby to breast, so I was a little surprised that the tank top didn’t have any.
The double layer of material does give a good amount of support and because the material is extremely soft and stretchy the top is very comfortable.
The top has some pretty butterfly detailing under the bust.
Overall I am impressed with the tank top. It’s good quality, very comfortable and cost effective as it can be used both during pregnancy and after.
One of my lucky readers also has the opportunity to win a tank top in the size of your choice. All you need to do is complete the rafflecopter form below.
