Now Little E is a little older and more keen to play and explore, we’ve started trying out some of the toys he’s received in the last couple of months.
He was kindly sent the Pili Forest Playmat from BabytoLove a few weeks ago, a bright and eye-catching play mat that is quick and easy to set out and put away.
The mat is well made and 83 x 96 cm in size. It’s padded but feels quite thin so folds up easily for storage. I’ve kept the clear plastic storage bag it came in to keep it in when not in use.
Although BabytoLove is a French brand, I think the Pili Playmat has a very Scandi look to it. It features simple, cute animals and some very sweet mushrooms.
The contrasting colours on the play mat are eye catching and bright and are great for encouraging your baby’s cognitive development.
The play mat also has a mirror and removeable yellow teether and can be thrown in the washing machine if it gets dirty. I find it dries really quickly too, I’ve dried it outdoors on the washing line because the weather has been so nice.
The playmat can be used with the Pili Mat mattress, the Pili Portable Activity Gym or on it’s own. It offers a comfortable and fun environment for younger babies and is multi-purpose.
The mirror is perfect for encouraging tummy-time and letting your baby seem himself.
For me, the only downside to the Pili Playmat is I think it should come with more toys and activities. It costs £24.95 so is probably mid range for price but seems to be lacking in the amount of extras it has. I’d like to seem more toys and some different textures to the material. I think this would give the playmay great longevity and keep a baby entertained more.
