Review – Waterwipes Sensitive make up wipes

Review – Waterwipes Sensitive make up wipes

Love them or hate them make up removal wipes are extremely popular. Personally, I find them a god send.

Skin care ‘experts’ usually tell you facial wipes are bad for your skin, or that they are lazy persons skin care product, but I tend to use facial wipes on a daily basis without issue.

Pre pregnancy my skin was always pretty good. I rarely got spots or blemishes, and albeit a little dryness around my mouth, I’d say my skin looked ok.

But….

Since finding out I was pregnant my skin has become much drier, much more sensitive and seems to feel sore at the slightest thing, so when I was given the chance to try WaterWipes facial wipes I jumped at the chance. My usual wipes had started to make my skin feel really tight and sore, so I was intrigued to find out more about these wipes that are advertised as being made from 99.9% water.

Each packet of wipes contains 24 individual wipes which are thick in quality, and have a slight exfoliating texture. The wipes feel much wetter than previous brands of facial wipe that I’ve used, meaning you get the opportunity to cleanse you entire face with one wipe.

The wipes contain no skin irritants (such as alcohol, fragrance, lanolin, perfume, or oil) so they are suitable even for those who have very sensitive skin, and perfect for my strange hormonal skin. They can even be used on your eyes without any irritation, and surprisingly considering they contain 99.9% water they still remove eye make up and mascara easily.

I have to say I am VERY impressed by the quality of the wipes. One wipe cleans my entire face, leaving it feeling clean and refreshed without a hint of tightness or soreness.

The wipes come in a slim line packet, making them easy to transport in your handbag. They’re perfect for sticky hands or simply to freshen up.

I think they would be perfect for the summer months if you kept them stored in the fridge, or for taking on your travels abroad.

I can’t honestly imagine going back to any other wipes now. I think these are perfect for me, and it’s great to know I am not using chemical laden products on my face. I would recommend them to anyone with sensitive skin, particularly those who are pregnant and suffering from skin changes.

WaterWipes also manufacture baby wipes which are based on the same recipe. Watch out for a review on those in a couple of weeks when the little man finally makes his appearance.
